I went back to Atlantis with Viviane and got in with a lie to the gate keeper before the grand opening on the 24th. We went straight to the Aquarium and it was great. I brought my actual camera, this shot of the fish is not from a mobile phone.

This month's new detour home brings me up the west side of old town. It also forces people who want to exit onto Sheikh Zayed toward Dubai to take a long loop arond the Qarmardeen District.
in Abu Dhabi, at the base is what is called the Burj al Marina, which is a very short observation town. The thing was closed so no pictures. But as I say in the vid, smoking is allowed in the mall (the 80's), and being ABB, video is not allowed. (aka, no locals in local atire on video. That gets a bit touching in parts of the Arab world.)
A shot of the beautiful Club house of the Four Seasons in Festival City. It was very dusty so the video does not look crisp. Not being a member, this is as close as I could get.
Driving through the Business Bay overpass on Sheikh Zayed Raod and heading back toward Deira. Another great view of the giant yellow machines that are build the Metro.
I know very little but more than most about concrete. These trucks need to turn their tanks and keep the mix design where it should be, but hey, I am just a dude with a camera. Dusty day too.
I drove to Beracuda to buy booze but it was closed. D'oh! Anyway, took this video, the dunes had grown onto the road, the wind was blowing sand all over the place.
